These are some of the questions we often get asked, together with answers, of course!

Domains

  • The length of time you can register a domain name for depends on the domain registrar you choose and the specific top-level domain (TLD) you're interested in. You can typically register a domain name for 1 to 10 years.

We primarily use Fasthosts for our domain registration.

  • It depends on what your website is for. If your target market is global, go for a .com. If it is the United Kingdom, go for a .co.uk.

Having a .co.uk domain name immediately tells your potential UK customers that you are also based in the UK, and that your service/products are aimed at them.

General

Websites

  • The cost of a new website can be difficult to generalise on because it depends on a number of different factors. The cost will vary based upon your specific requirements, the platform you may require (e.g. WordPress, Shopify, or custom development), and the complexity of your project.

  • Under our standard contract you have the right to use the website for as long as you want. You do not own the code used to build the website - that remains with us.
